Creston W. Brown

Attorney

Creston represents and advises businesses and individuals in state and federal court. He recently concluded a judicial clerkship with The Honorable Mary Geiger Lewis, U.S. District Court Judge for the District of South Carolina. During Creston’s judicial clerkship, he drafted numerous opinions covering a wide range of legal issues.

Creston earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated in the top 3% of his class.  In law school, Creston proudly served as Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif, Order of the Wig and Robe, and the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court.  He also served as an elected member of the Honor Council for all three years of law school.  Creston was the recipient of the Richard J. Foster Scholarship (awarded to the first-year student with the highest grade point average in his or her first semester in law school), Coleman Karesh Scholarship (awarded to the second-year student with the highest cumulative grade point average at the time of the award), and the Claude N. Sapp Award and Scholarship (presented to the third-year student who is chosen by his or her classmates as possessing the best combination of scholarship, leadership, and industry).

Creston received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame.

Before attending law school, Creston held numerous positions in Columbia, S.C. companies working in Business Development and Sales.  He worked on numerous international projects and traveled to China where he worked closely with numerous manufacturers of products for export.

Active in the community, Creston has served in a number of leadership and community service roles.  He has served on the Boards of Directors for the Midlands Heart Ball with the American Heart Association, the Laureate Phase 1 Homeowners Association, and the Southern States Sign Association.

Outside of work, Creston enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters.  And, as a proud Notre Dame alumnus, Creston also enjoys spending his Saturday cheering on the Fighting Irish!
